I was told every day for a month that the car would be delivered the next day and I would need to be present to sign for the car but then it would never show up and then I would get a text the next morning that it was for the next day and the whole thing just repeats and goes nowhere. The people from shift in fact got mad at me for not giving them enough credit. They lied about the estimated shipping time and delivery date over and over again until I received the car and I never once received an apology.

POSSIBLY Monday or Tuesday.Īt no point was shift proactive in communicating to me and at no point was any degree of urgency placed on a car they sold me as having completed their inspections. On June 1st I was told that it should be ready "next week for completion. Presumably this was to enable no break in the sale of other, hopefully less brokeass cars than the one I purchased. It took them till May 31st to assign a technician and find it a rack. They received the 'new' engine (I was advised it was one with less mileage than my paid for Prius, so fine.) on May 22nd. This was covered by the 30 day warranty thankfully. When I dropped the car off, after having it two weeks driving without white smoke, I was told that they confirmed I would need a new engine. After exiting the tunnel and looking for a place to pull over it stopped and so I drove to my destination slowly. I picked it up and headed to Old Tunnel on the way to Walnut Creek on April 14th.Īs I approached Old Tunnel I saw white smoke coming out of the back. I purchased a 2017 Prius 2, it was in Pomona and driven up to Oakland for pick up.
